No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle.
— Winston Churchill

Elizabeth’s love affair with horses began at age six when her mother bought a book of tickets for her to take a series of riding lessons at a local stable. At age ten, her family moved to a suburban ranchette in the hills south of Los Angeles where their corrals soon filled up with horses. Considering herself the luckiest girl in the world, she spent all of her free time on horseback exploring canyons and trails that overlooked the Pacific Ocean. She rode on the hunter-jumper circuit, reached the H-A level in Pony Club, competed in the North American Junior Three-Day Championships, and worked as a riding instructor. She continues her long-time passion as an equestrian, and today, she is never happier than when she is on the back of a horse.
